.CSV File Format
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
File Description | CSV, is a delimited data format that has fields/columns separated and records/rows terminated by newlines. The data is usually separated by commas, while other delimiters are also used sometimes, such as tab, semicolon, single or double quotation marks, etc. CSV can be easily transferred to cells by a spreadsheet program or inserted into a database. But due to the lack of a standard, there are still problems while transferring data between databases or programs. To insert CSV files to Microsoft Excel, choose "Insert from Text" and select the delimiter in the file. You can preview the data before inserting to Excel. |
