| RW2 File Description | RW2 is the raw image format used by Panasonic Lumix cameras such as the LX3 and LX5. Some of the cameras capture images to raw file formats that minimally processed data are saved from the camera sensor. RW2 images can be adjusted for color, exposure, and other properties in a compitable image editing software. Panasonic cameras store RAW images with the .raw or .rw2 extension. RW2 is the newer one with support for image preview and a complete JPEG with special Exif embedded. |

When you double click RW2 files on computer, the associated program will be launched to open the selected RW2 file. But you can change it to any program at your pleasure. a) Select a program to open RW2 files on WindowsRight-click on the RW2 file and go through 'Open with' > 'Choose default program'. In the pop-up windows, choose a program as the RW2 file opener. If you decide to always open RW2 files with the program, only check the option 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file'.
b) Select another application to open RW2 files on MacFirst Get Info about any one of RW2 files by right-clicking or Command-I, and click 'Open with' arrow to choose a program to start your RW2 file. Click 'Change All' button to set the selected application as the default RW2 file opener app.
